When a wealthy merchant's ship is destroyed in a storm, he leaves his family to recover the wreckage. However, on the way, he finds a beautiful castle ruled by a horrid Beast. Belle, his youngest daughter, follows her father and begins an adventure that challenges everything she knew.

This powerful opera speaks to modern audiences as it grapples with issues of greed, free will, and the reality that things are not often what they seem.
